About Harris Art
Harris Art:
I’ve always loved to draw, I remember my first copied picture was of woody wood pecker, I was about 8years old! I loved to draw everything and anything, from imagination or observation as a child. In my last year of primary I decided to draw my school, a Victorian building. My teacher was very surprised at how good it was and kept it to show it at a meeting.
During my teens, art was fun but I wasn’t really taught anything other than to stretch paper! I did somehow manage to get a GCSE in art but never carried on with it other than painting murals for friends and family with any old paint we could get.
I did an adult access course in art and briefly went to uni for a year but due to family commitments I had to drop out.
It wasn’t until lockdown that I began to draw again. I’ve been slowly getting more comfortable with showing family my work and am now making the leap to show anyone who is interested in my work.
